VOCABULARY IN CONTEXT

 Learning VOCABULARY IN CONTEXT means that you learn new words,phrases and expressions when you are reading or listening and you will know how they are used in a sentence.

When we learn a isolated word without a context,we may remember its meaning but you would not be able to use the words or phrases to create a complete sentence when we speak or write.

When you have more information about the word,you  can remember it and start incorporating that word into your writing and  also you will be having more words to use  in your conversation.

Context-Based learning helps you to  better articulate your thoughts and easy remembering of new words or phrases.

Reading gives me an amazing feeling .I read fiction,non fiction and also informational texts.

I am a movie buff and watch English-language movies .When I come across any new words, phrases etc,I write it down .Then I check  the meaning of that word  in a dictionary and take notes immediately.When you comprehend these sentences,learning will be fun and easier.

1.George is Lucy's employer.

He left  lucy the house.That seems a little excessive.

EXCESSIVE

Meaning:   Much more than is reasonable or necessary.

Excessive is an adjective.

Some more examples:

1.The lawyer charged excessive fees.

2.He died due to excessive drinking.

3.The company is in excessive debt.

4.Jim was fined for driving at excessive speed.

5.She complained of excessive noise coming from the upstairs  flat .

6.Excessive use of fertilizers has led to degradation of soil health.

( AN EXCESSIVE USE OF SOMETHING)

7.Consuming excessive amounts of caffeine interferes with sleep.

Unload is a verb.

Meaning:To remove goods from a vehicle.

               UNLOAD goods from a vehicle 

               UNLOAD (something)

               UNLOAD Something (from something)

               UNLOAD  a vehicle

Examples:

1.They unloaded the luggage from the car.

2.He unloaded the furniture from the truck.

3.Smaller vans unload at the roadside.

4.Unload the truck.

Unload the cargo.


3.My Grandmother had Dementia,which became extreme at the end.

Here EXTREME is an adjective.

Meaning:Very large in amount or degree(usually very severe or very bad).

1.Extreme weather conditions  in Antartica makes it unsuitable for permanent human habitation.

2.Ten percent of the world population still live in extreme poverty and lack  access to basic human needs such as food, water and sanitation.

3.She went on an extreme diet to lose weight quickly.

4.Jack suffered extreme pain due to the injury.

5.Their arrogance and extreme stupidity is annoying.

6.People are warned to take extreme care on the icy roads while driving.
