A verb is a word that shows an ACTION or a STATE OF BEING.

A good verb choice plays an important role in improving the vocabulary. 

You can use variety of verbs to convey and express more precise and complicated ideas when talking or writing. 

Strong verbs add emotions to the conversation and helps in fluency. 

Let us learn some verbs in context.

1.DESPISE

If you despise doing mind-numbing job,then drop your job and live your life on your own terms.

a) DESPISE =To have a strong or intense DISLIKE for someone or something

( because you think that the person or thing is bad,worthless and you have a very low opinion of them).

DESPISE  SOMEBODY /  SOMETHING

DESPISE SOMEONE FOR DOING SOMETHING

Examples:

1.He despised racism in any form.

2.She despised herself for being so selfish and cowardly.

3.Lucy despised her boss as he treated her worse.

b) DROP = GIVE UP /  ABANDON /  DISCONTINUE  Something

     DROP = Cease to employ (mainly US slang)

     DROP A CASE / LAWSUIT / CHARGE

     DROP A PLAN /  IDEA

Examples:

1.He was dropped from his job.

2.Let's drop the idea .

3.He walked free after the charges against him were dropped.
