Well-chosen Nouns makes the vocabulary interesting and effective.

We need to build up our vocabulary to converse fluently in English.

Let us see some NOUNS to describe SURPRISE OR SHOCK(a sudden upsetting or surprising event or experience).

A SURPRISE OR SHOCK can be an EVENT (an unexpected fact,event or a piece of news) 

or 

A surprise or shock can also be  AN EXPERIENCE or A FEELING ( a feeling caused by something unexpected).

Something that SURPRISES or SHOCKS is unexpected or unusual.

The SURPRISE can be positive, neutral or negative one.

Meaning : a)  A feeling of great surprise and wonder

                   b) Overpowering or extreme surprise or wonder

                    c) An object or a cause of amazement
